Steven "Goose" Mongar

Steve “Goose” Mongar, 61, died October 16, 2010, at Mercy Hospital.

Steve was born May 17, 1949, in Des Moines to Betty and Darwin Mongar. He was a retired laborer of Local #177. Steve enjoyed working on old cars, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Dave (Marcy) Mongar, Denny Mongar and Sara Mongar; grandchildren, Konner, Kacie, Chelsy, Kenzi, Chase, Caiden and Jaiden; siblings, Ron (Kathy), Bill (Randi), Tom (Sandy), Teresa (Mary)and John (Monica) Mongar, Becky (Jon) LaRue, Linda (Joe) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donnie Mongar.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will occur from 5-8 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family in loving memory of Goose.
