LaVon Jones

LaVon Jones, 72, of Des Moines died Tuesday, March 13, 2006 at her home in Des Moines. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to12 Noon Saturday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
She was born to her parents Lee and Ollie (Ramey) Dole on October 22, 1934 near Villisca, Iowa. LaVon graduated from Centerville high School in 1951 and on March 3, 1956 she married Paul Jones. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crafts and cats.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years Paul of Des Moines, her son Phillip Jones (Suzanne Quinn-Jones) of Seattle Washington, her daughter Carol Jones (Tom Brokaw) of Des Moines, her granddaughters Alanna Quinn-Jones of Seattle and Kassi Brokaw of Des Moines, her brother John (Pat) Dole of Centerville, her nieces Jennifer (Ed) Irelan of Higginsville, Missouri, Julee Dole of Pleasant Hill and Jessica Dole of Cedar Falls as well as a special cousin Mary Lucille (Harold) Cramer of Cedar Rapids.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
