Logan Michael McAninch left this world on October 11, 2010. Logan was a friend to all he met. He had a smile that would light up a room. He enjoyed extreme sports, skateboarding, ultimate frisbee, and music. Logan was a senior at Valley High School, and was employed by Goodwill Industries.
He is survived by his mother, Tracy McAninch; father, Jason Allen; sister, Caitlyn McAninch; brother, Noah Dolan; grandparents, Ed and Deb Carver, and Bud and Bobbi McAninch.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Logan Michael McAninch Memorial Fund at Greater Iowa Credit Union.

I was so saddened by the news of Logan's passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
I only had contact with Logan at the Goodwill on weekends while shopping for treasures. He was always respectful and helpful. His smile made me smile. And, as the mother of two young men, I recognized that little glint of mischief in his eyes. He was a delight. Such a loss.
Logan, I wish you peace.

Dear Tracy,
We are so sorry for you tragic loss. Annie O'Dell is our daughter.
We ment Logan at Mike O'Dell's Funeral. He was so sweet and
loved holding our granddaughter Addy. There are no words to give you comfort but please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Tracy & Family,
My deepest sympathy for you and your family Tracy. My heart is just aching for you all. I didn't have the opportunity to know Logan as the young adult he had become, but will always remember the times we drug the little ones to the tulip festival to celebrate mother's day and praying they didn't pick any of the flowers. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during these very difficult times.

I had first period with Logan, and even though I didn't get to know him very well he lit up the room. Even at 8:20 A.M. he came in with a smile on his face, and never failed to let people know how he felt. I will always admire that about him. He seemed like a great guy, I just wish I would've had the honor of knowing him as a good friend. I am sorry for your loss and I will be at the visitation tomorrow. I know how it feels to lose someone close, and I will pray for you. I am sad that he is gone just like everyone else. So many people cared for him, and we had the honor to have a day of tye dye shirts and sweats in remembrance of him.
I'm so sorry again,
He will be forever missed and loved.

The McAninch Family,
Logan will be missed. He was always so polite and a true gentleman whenever he was at our house. He was always welcome in our home. I will always remember the look of shock on his face when I gave Logan and Matt a peanut butter and jelly with potato chips on it. To his surprise he liked it.

I am so sorry for you lose Logan was an amazing person. He always made working at Mimi's Cafe fun when ever we worked together. He was very friendly to not only the guests but also to the empolyees. I know that I can say with a strong heart that Logan will be missed and forever in our hearts and prayers.

Logan made us all laugh we loved having him around, Seeing the boys together over the years you new that they all really cared about each other and that they would be friends forever. The boys would stop bye to visit at our house and Logan would always take time to play with Brandi Just like he was a big brother. Logan we love you and miss you!
