Lucille Clarkson

Lucille Reed Clarkson, age 93, passed away March 19, 2007 in Minnesota. Lucille, born in Moberly, Missouri on October 19, 1913 was raised in Des Moines where she was a lifelong resident until two years ago, when she suffered a stroke and moved to Minnesota to be with her daughter. Lucille graduated from East High School in 1932. She was retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. Lucille was married for over 50 years to Edwin Clarkson. She was a member of Grant Park Christian Church.
Lucille’s parents, Alfred and Nona Reed and her husband, Edwin Clarkson preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Sharon (Wayne) Brodersen from Chisago City, Minnesota and Reed (Carole) Clarkson from Anniston, Alabama. Also surviving her are her six grandchildren, Alan (Lisa), Colin and Chad Wivell and Cara (Randy) Longshore, Holly (Brad) Bergman and Matthew (Ashley) Clarkson as well as six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at noon with memorial services to follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
