Georgia Ann Scanlon, 69, passed away at her home October 10, 2010.
Georgia was born October 8, 1941 in Des Moines. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, making porcelain dolls, gardening and holiday baking.
Georgia is survived by her mother, Alta Johnson; children, Michelle Stultz, Mark (Julie) Smith, Mike Smith, Melissa Smith and Amy Scanlon; brother, Jack Johnson; sisters, Candy Adamson and Terri Parker; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Johnson.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Glendale Cemetery.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best
