Frank Haworth

Frank William Haworth, 82, died October 10, 2010 at Scottish Rite Park.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Family will be present to greet friends for one hour prior to services.

Frank was born July 18, 1928 in Spaulding, Iowa, and raised on the family farm. He graduated from Shannon City High School and received his B.S. degree from Drake University in 1949. He retired from the Federal Housing Administration after 35 years of service as Chief of the Mortgage Credit.

Frank was a charter member of the Walnut Hills Methodist Church where he volunteered for 10 years after retirement. He was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline; daughters, Jeanne (Bruce) Taylor of West Des Moines, Shari Wood of Bloomfield Hills, MI; seven grandchildren, Jaclyn Taylor, Matt (Kelly) Taylor, Kyle Wood, Ashton Wood, Jessica Davis, Lauren Davis and Melanee Davis.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Davis and his parents, Clinton and Bessie Haworth.
