Margaret “Peg” Guinn, 68, died Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Kavanagh on 56th in Des Moines. She was born October 9, 1942 in Des Moines to Lloyd and Margaret Allen.
She was a member of the Pony Express Riders of Iowa, American Legion Auxiliary #731 and she volunteered at the Red Cross. She enjoyed Indian pow-wows, dolphin collectibles and loved party lite candles.
Margaret “Peg” is survived by her long-time companion of 28 years, Charles D. Davis; children, April (Terry Palmer) Cooper and Michael (Katherina) Cooper; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Diane) Armstrong; step-father, Frank (Donna Marie) Armstrong; as well as numerous beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Guinn; parents, Lloyd Allen and Margaret Armstrong; grandparents, Lee and Ida Howard; and a son, Walter Lee Cooper.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial at Berwick Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Margaret “Peg” L. Guinn.

My mom and I are so very sorry for your loss, I know it is so very hard to lose someone you love. as I tell my mom think of the good times. Sis was there for my mom and me when we lost my dad. I wish we could be there for you at this sad time but iam in texas, and my mom does not drive. we are with you in our thoughts.

I am so sorry for the passing of sis (peg). Her family is in my thougths and prayers at this time of sorrow. She was there for us kids when Dad passed away and it was truly appreciated. God bless each and everyone of you.
