Jerry Reeves

Jerry Dean Reeves, 70, passed away with his family at his side at the Taylor House. A memorial service will be held from 3 to 5 pm Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the Aurora Avenue Bible Church, 5 NW Aurora, Des Moines. Those needing directions may call the Church at 284-1716.

Jerry was born August 22, 1940, in Des Moines to Berdena and Harold Joseph Reeves. Jerry worked as an journeyman electrician. He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electricians. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working in his yard and woodworking. He loved being with his dog, Rosey, and his family.

Jerry is survived by his Mom, Berdena Marie Reeves who is 100 years old. His wife, Carolyn Reeves; his children, Kristi Harman (Scott Harman), Carrie Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Joseph Reeves and his son, Scott Reeves.
His great grandson, Megan Harman and Triston Harman; his grandson, Dustin Wheeler, Nanette Turner (Dean) and her four children, Russell, Jazmine, Dean Jr and Daniel Turner, Kimberly Reeves and Scott Reeves; his siblings, Rod Reeves, Narman (Mary) Reeves, Arlene Richardson and Dick Reeves (Loren Reeves).
