Dorothy Boley

Dorothy M. Boley, of Des Moines was born to Anna and Ray Robert Swartz on December 22, 1921 in Alta, Iowa. Dorothy was called home by her Savior on November 1, 2006 at age 84. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2006 at Lee Town Assembly Church, 2720 State Ave. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Dorothy worked at Orden’s Plant during WWII making ammunition. She was a member of Lee Town Assembly. She was married in 1940 and devoted her time to being a homemaker. Dorothy loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Richard Boley, Dorothy Mae Hyden, Arlene White, Reverend Donald E. Boley and Reverend Oran R. Boley all of Des Moines: brother, Richard Swartz and two sisters, Nora Miller and Betty Easter all of Des Moines; 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Boley, Sr.; mother and father, Anna and Ray Robert Swartz; sisters, Helen Madison and Hester Swartz; twins, Glen and Clara Swartz; brothers, James Swartz and Robert Swartz and one grandchild, Michelle Boley.
