Florence Robison

Florence L. Robison, 87, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Friday, October, 1, 2010 at Crimson Pointe Assisted Living Home in Rockford, IL.* Born July 25, 1923 in Boone, IA to Reverend Floyd and Elfleta Murphy. She lived most of her life in Des Moines. Florence married Clarence (Swede) Robison on October 3, 1942. They celebrated 55 years of marriage before Swede's passing on August 8, 1998. Florence worked for many years as a librarian at Delaware Elementary School. She was a charter member of Eastside Church of the Nazarene in Des Moines.

Florence is survived by sons, Dennis (Pam) Robison of Naperville, IL, Kenneth (Lois) Robison of Marion, IA; special daughter, Debbie (Winston) Cox of Winnebago, IL; grandchildren, Dennis (Ellen) Robison Jr. of Peoria, AZ, Kelly (very special caregiver, Dawn) Robison of Machesney Park, IL, and Kerri, Merrick, and Kristin Robison all of IL; six great-grandchildren; special friend for many years Arlene Oberto of Des Moines, IA.

She was preceded by husband, parents, and brother.

The family would like to thank the staff of Crimson Pointe for their loving care, especially Lauren, Erica, Sue, and Danielle.

Services will be held at 12:00 Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Eastside Church of the Nazarene, 1451 East 25th Street, Des Moines. Visitation will occur from 10:00 a.m. until service.
