Juanita Harmon

Juanita Guzman Harmon, 88, passed away on October 2, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Juanita was born in Des Moines, Iowa on October 1, 1922 to Santiago and Katie Guzman. She was a nurse at Mercy Hospital. She lovingly helped to raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Harmon, her granddaughter Darienne Robinson and her brothers Antonio and James Guzman.

She is survived by her daughter Marie Robinson; grandchildren Gina Robinson and Jason Robinson; great-grandchildren Sean Robinson, Ashlyn Robinson and Antonio Robinson; great-great-granddaughter Jaylah Kay Ridgeway; sisters Margaret Greene, Mary Guzman, and Gloria Guzman; brothers Raymond and John Guzman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved very much.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday October 9, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with the funeral service at 4:00. Burial will be on Monday, October 11, 2010.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Juanita.
