Betty L. Weston

Betty Weston, 85, passed away at her home September 30, 2010.

Betty was born May 9, 1925 to Rollie and Jessie (Brown) Patterson in Des Moines. She had lived in Guthrie Center, Des Moines, Indianola and Casey. Betty married H. Allen Weston in 1946. She worked for Weston Bodies, Inc., where she served as the president until her retirement in 1989. Betty enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing bridge and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of Easton Place United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by her children, Jeneane (Ben) Tillotson, Jim (Sheryl) Weston, Debbie (Dennis) Kain, and Jack (Roberta) Weston; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; step-son, Allen Weston and his family; and her sister, Thelma (Melvin) Durst. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Allen Weston in 1980; brother, Milton Patterson; and sisters, Mary Ann Rochholz and Eva Archer.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with visitation following the service at the funeral home.
