Janet Ruth Russell, 71, was born November 4, 1938 in Waterloo, the daughter of Bill and Lillian (Eckwall) Griefnow. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Taylor House after a courageous five year battle with cancer.
Cremation has occurred and the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at North River Cemetery.
Janet was a volunteer Girl Scout Leader for over 50 years.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of almost 54 years, Roy; children, Rusty (Sherri) Russell, Bill (Rhonda) Russell and joAnna Russell; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House in loving memory of Janet.
