Virginia W. Clement, 85, died Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines. She was born September 25, 1924 in Van Wert, Iowa to Charles and Elizabeth Burchett.
She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Howard Clement; children, Kevin (Laura) Clement, Brenda (Dan) Garrett, Barry (Kate) Clement, and Karen (Jim) Berkland; son-in-law, John Kosobucki; as well as eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Kosobucki and a brother, Emery Burchett.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010, at Bondurant Federated Church, 103 2nd Street SW, Bondurant. Friends may visit with family from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the church. Private burial will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Bethel Cemetery near Wapello, Iowa.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to a memorial fund through Hamilton’s Funeral Home in loving memory of Virginia W. Clement.

Karen,
I am thinking and praying for you and your family at this hard time.
I will be with you in thought this evening at the Federated Church where we grew up together.
My father's funeral was at Bondurant and he had also been in hospice.
Just remember that what we learned about Heaven in the Federated Church is a reality. Heaven is a wonderful place. With Mom and Dad going to Heaven, I learned that we don't have to be sorry for "our loss". There is no loss. We know where they are.
"Because He lives...we can face tomorrow".
