Judy Catheryn Parks

Judy C. Parks, 73, of Urbandale passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at her home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Judy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from Von Maur in 2004 after 21 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, Alpha Alpha Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, the Von Maur Retiree Club, and the Wild Rose Chapter of Iowa of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. In her earlier years she was a Junior Debutant, president of Entre Nous, and a member of Order of Rainbow Girls. Judy enjoyed cooking, decorating, and was a devoted homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William J. Parks; her children, Lisa Seibert and Kimberly Murphy; brother, Norman Krum; sisters, Phyllis Humason and Jane Gennuso; grandchildren, Melissa and Helana Murphy, and Trevor Wohlfahrt.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Windsor Heights Lutheran Church, 1240 66th Street. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway.
