Service Details
Cynthia Flannery, 48, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, September 25th at Cornerstone Family Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Cynthia was born April 2, 1962 in Boone, IA to Donna and C. Neil Foust. She worked as a personal banker at Banker’s Trust.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Todd; mother Donna Foust; daughter Lacey (Chris) Brewer; son Chad (Taresa) Lombard; sisters Mala Foust, Della (Lee) Enslow, Linda Foust; grandchildren Justice, Cory, Brenna, Elijah, Aubrey and two on the way.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for their discretion.

We were so saddened when we learned today that Cindy had passed away. She was a great lady and we so enjoyed seeing and working with her at the bank. She was also so cheerful and fun to be around. We would go to the bank just to see her! We hope that happy memories will fill your hearts during this sad time.

I am in total shock I have just now read this. I just know Cindy from her being my personal banker. She was always so outgoing and if I ever had any questions about anything she would always return my call. She was always upbeat and very kind and friendly. My heart goes out to all her family.

Mom, I cant believe that you're gone. You are a very wonderful, kind and caring person. you are the most giving person I have ever met and you touched my life in a big way. I truly hope that you knew how much you meant to me. You gave me my wonderful wife for who I am so greatful to have in my life. I LOVE YOU very much and you will be greatly missed Mom.

To the Flannery family,
My heartfelt condolences to your family. It seems incomprehensible that Cindy has gone and left us to be with Jesus.
I had the pleasure of working with Cindy in children's ministry at Cornerstone Family church on several occasions. She always had a smile and was so upbeat. I enjoyed ministering with her; she was a blessing.
I remember her great love for her family, in particular her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.

Dear Aunt Donna and Family,
It is with great sadness, sincere condolences, many prayers and very fond memories of Cindy that I wish to express to each of you. I pray that each of you will be comforted in your time of mourning. I also pray that each of you will celebrate her life as a wonderful daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and grandmother as I will as her cousin.

There are no words that can begin to express my feelings right now, I may be able to say what they are but to really understand them is going to take along time. My mom was my everything, my rock, my support, a shoulder to cry on, a mountain to stand by when I was weak. She was the most amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter, mother-in-law, the best Grammy in the world to all the grandchildren !!! Justice, Cory, Elijah, Brenna and Aubrey are going to be left with all the wonderful memories of their Grammy! All their trips with Pappy and Grammy will be a great memory now. When my mom found Todd they were a match made in heaven. Todd made my mom light up so much she could light up the whole world! Todd and my mom are the best couple around and to see Todd's face now it saddens me to see him like this, he lost his everything too. I can't even begin to imagine how he feels now. The whole family has had such a loss and no one will ever begin to replace my mom. My mom was a hero, a life support, a friend, a wonderful listener, and an awesome leader for so many people, I can't even tell you how many lives she has touched and those people will be blessed forever because she had such an impact on their lives! My mom had a warm glow on her face even in the midst of hard times and even in her own sickness, she was always, always willing to do whatever it took to get the job done no matter how big or how small. She was always willing to get done what had to be done, she always went ten extra miles to make you feel welcome and loved no matter who you were. She had a way with words to comfort you in any situation, her just being by your side was enough to comfort you. Her smile was always on her face, she was like an angel in disguise to many who didnt know her and able to save them. She was always open to lend a hand for so many. She very, very seldom thought of herself first, always others before anything. She always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; they were her life and one of the many reasons why she was so amazing!! I could go on and on but I could write 5 novels about her and how many lives she touched. We were all truly blessed to have her in our lives, each and every one of us will have our own special memory of her to hold dear in our hearts. And we need to cherish every moment that we had of her. She was an indescribable woman, a woman of God and a strong tower to the weak, a loving, devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law!! I know my heart is breaking among everyone else's but my mom would want me to keep on going and to do my best and grow into a mountain like her for my family. I have to try to be a strong tower for myself now. And have her be proud of me every day! She will be in heaven looking down on me and Taresa when we bring her two more grandchildren into this world. I love you mom and I won't ever forget your soft warm hugs and kisses!!!!

Lacey and family:
I am sooooo sorry for the loss of such a great and wonderful woman! She was everyones backbone and you could always count on Mom to take your worries to and she would never judge you. She was a woman of God and she is now looking down from above. Just remember that she will always be in your heart and she isnt that far away that you can still talk to her and she will be listening. I love you all and I will miss "mom" so very much. If you need anything at all please let me know, I am only a phone call away!

Todd, Lacey, Chad, Taresa, Chris, and family;
WOW I can't believe this has happend. Mom was a wonder person. If you need anything at all I am here and all of you know where to find me or how to get a hold of me. There are so many wonderful things that I could say right now About mom except I think that I would run out of room on here to do it. I love all of you guys I am here if you need me.
