Thomas Van Blaricum, Jr.

Tom “TJ” Van Blaricum Jr., 29, passed away March 16 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Monday at the funeral home.
TJ was born February 10. 1978 in Des Moines. He graduated from East High School in 1996. TJ worked as route driver for Anderson-Erickson Dairy. He attended New Testament Baptist Church. TJ loved taking part in family activities. He enjoyed fishing and was a avid bowhunter. He was a awesome cook and making turkey’s was his specialty. He loved watching Baseball and the Raiders were his favorite football team.
TJ is survived by his loving wife, Shannon, his children, Sami, Chase and Willie. His father, Thomas Van Blaricum Sr. and step-mother, Kim, His mother, Christine Brown and step-father, Ross, His siblings, Tiphany (David) Rumage, Jennifer Van Blaricum, Ryan Brown, Joseph (Claudia) Van Blaricum, his grandmothers, Marian Wynn, Delores Van Blaricum and Kay Brown, many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews. TJ is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Van Blaricum, Gerald Wynn, and Duane Brown. Memorials are suggested to TJ’s family in his loving memory.
