Ferne Cremer

Ferne Irene Cremer, 87, was born April 29, 1923, in Swan, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bertha (Bivans) Bowers. She passed away peacefully Friday, September 10, 2010, at Kavanagh House on 56th Street. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2010, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial to follow at the Masonic Cemetery.

Ferne is survived by her daughters, Carol (John) Davis, Nancy (Frank) Rizzuti and Barbara Flowers; twelve grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carol Harper Cremer.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Ferne.
