Darrell Brugioni

Darrell P. Brugioni, 85, was born March 28, 1921 in Des Moines, IA, and passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007 at Visitation Catholic Church, 1271 E. 9th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday with a 5:00 p.m. Vigil Service, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
Darrell graduated from East High School in 1939. He played the accordion in a band with his father and sister. He enjoyed big band music, and loved to grow tomatoes and sell them out of his shed, and he enjoyed model Lionel trains and talking on the CB radio. Darrell loved to spend time with his brothers and sisters that lived on the same street for nearly sixty years.
Darrell is survived by two sisters, Dena Johnson of Des Moines and Desma Kasper of Kearney, Mo., one brother, Don Brugioni of Des Moines, two nephews, one niece, one great nephew and two great nieces. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ernesta Brugioni, brother, Deno and sister, Delma Donati.
Memorials may be made to Visitation Catholic Church or to the Holy Family School in his loving memory.
