Doug Brose

Douglas R. Brose, 64, passed away Thursday, March 15 at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, March 21 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Doug was born February 16, 1943 in Des Moines to Elsie and Edwin Brose. He had worked for Coca Cola in the 1960’s, owned his own Gas Station in the 1970’s and owned and operated his own trucking company. He owned and operated D + T Construction. Doug had been a member of BASS, the Izaak Walton League and had served as President of the Board of Leisure Lake, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing, boating, NASCARS and Nintendo. He also loved spending time with his family.
Doug is survived by his children, Tim (Denise), Alan (Kellie) and Lesa Larison (Mike); his grandchildren, Audra, Alesia, Kayla, Casey and Alan; his great grandson, Dakota; his brothers, Jim and Eddie, his brother-in-law, Larry Anderson. Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and brother, Gary.
