Stephen W. Harris

Steve passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at his home in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 12 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 AM. A burial will follow at Chariton Cemetery.

He was born February 26, 1948, to Catherine and William Harris. He graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the Army during the 1960’s. where he was honorably discharged. Steve will be remembered as a very loving Christian man who would give the shirt off his back for anyone.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Harris; his sister, Leah Cummings, his niece, Sarah Cummings, and his great nephew, Donovan Cummings. He was preceded in death by his father, William.
