Lorraine Waterman, 90, passed away September 7, 2010 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street.
Lorraine was born May 15, 1920 in Buffalo Center, IA to Otto and Tillie Bronleewe. She was a realtor with Iowa Realty for over 20 years. Lorraine was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Eastern Star.
Lorraine’s family is grateful for the gifts she gave them: her strength of character, her resilience, non- judgmental nature, generosity, hopeful spirit, happiness and delight in life.
Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Veronica Stalker, Cynthia (Charles) Cannon, and Gwen (Steve) Eaton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Chesley Waterman and daughter, Lorrie Streyffeler.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Heartland Presbyterian Church, 142nd & Hickman Road, followed by burial at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Our sympathy to Lorraine's family. We appreciated very much Lorraine's thoughtfulness and kindness to my mother, Joyce Love, in 1988 in selling her home that she was not going to leave... she chatted very understandly with her and we were grateful that Mom "let it go onto someone else to enjoy". Some of your Mom'e words helped us when we made our move to Valley View Village also. May the Lord give you comfort. She was a very dear woman and the Lord gave her a long life.
