Ronald Lillegard

Ronald Lillegard, 64, passed away September 2, 2010 at Iowa Veterans Hospital after a long battle with C.O.P.D.

Ronald was born May 31, 1946 in Des Moines to Ronald Othey and Della (Simon) Lillegard. He graduated from East High School. Ronald was a U.S. Navy SeaBee from October 21, 1965 to October 21, 1969 and served in Vietnam. He was a master mechanic. Ronald loved nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marty J. Lillegard; sister, Deloris Adams; and nephews, Rick, Steve and Dean Adams and Randy, Lane and Kirby Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Wolfe and nephew, Troy Wolfe.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A private burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter at a later date.
