Minnie Price

Minnie Price, 79, was born September 6, 1930 in Williamsburg, Missouri, the daughter of Rufus and Lydia (Curtis) Pethy. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Minnie is survived by her husband, Milton; children, Phyllis (Robert) Cooper, Patricia Brookins, Mary (John) Burton, Alice Davenport, Barbara (Bernard) Sledd, Charles Davenport and Melissa Davenport; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Robinson; other loving relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philbert Davenport Sr.; son, Philbert Davenport Jr.; daughter, Lydia Swinnie and her parents.

The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Minnie.
