Lois Davis

Lois Davis, 94, died March 7, 2007 in Hemet, California, where she had lived twenty-one years. She was born July 9, 1912 to Clarence and Ferne Thornburg near Berwick, Iowa. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines. In 1934 she married Jim Clark, who died at age 47.
Lois returned to Berwick and worked at the Des Moines Credit Bureau. She later married Elmo Davis and moved to California, spending the remainder of her life in that state.
Lois was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Hemet. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands. Surviving are her cousins and dear friends, Mary Virginia and Bart Patten in Hemet, as well as a number of loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, at the Berwick Congregational Church, with visitation on hour before the service. Burial will be at the Berwick Cemetery.
