Deborah, 62, died August 28, 2010, in Des Moines, Iowa. Deborah was born September 1, 1947 to Orel N. and Mary L. Overton in Des Moines, Iowa.
Deborah enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Playing games and shopping. She was a snowbird in Texas every winter.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Michael Morris; daughter, Kathryn (Brian) Oliver and son, Jeff (Janell) Morris; granddaughter Kirstin; grandson, Zachary; her mother, Mary Overton; brother, Larry Overton and her sisters, Rosemary Potolicchio, Kristy Overton and Karen Overton.
A Memorial Gathering will be Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 6 pm until 9 pm, at Griff’s Clubhouse, 6421 NE 46th Street, Altoona, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made at Griff’s Clubhouse in loving memory of Deborah Lee Morris.

Our condolences for the immediate Morris Family, the extended Family, and her many friends, who all temporarily grieve until we see Debbie again. Although each of our hearts our heavy, each of us are lightened by the memories of Debbie's warmth, generosity and love. Our prayers of comfort and peace for the Morris family and friends.

Mike & Jeff, our thoughts and prayers go out to you guys and your family. I truely understand all the pain you feel right now as we just had to go through this same situation 2 months ago. The memories will always be there and Deb will live on in your hearts. We will remember all the good times we shared together over the years at the races. 2010 has been the worst year ever!

Mike and family:
My heart aches for you all at this difficult time. I know that Debbie hurt so much of our times together but she was a great sport and really never wanted to be left out of anything we did. She had a heart of GOLD and was so good and kind to everyone. We wintered in Texas together and were always there for each other. You will have many, many memories to remember her by. It is very hard right now, but you will have to know she is not in pain like she was so much of the time. My deepest SYMPATHY. God Bless you all.. Take one day at a time.

I haven't seen or talked to Deb for so long. The kids were really small, but I thought of her often. We used to have some good times in Jr. high. She went to North and I went to East and just like everything you grow apart.We spent lots of time together. Her mom and dad were my second set of parents. Sorry to hear she was in pain, she didn't deserve that. God Bless and take care. Until you meet again.
