Marvin David Young, 80, was born February 27, 1930 in Iowa City, the son of David and Louella Young. He passed away at his home Friday, August 27, 2010.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Judy Young; daughters, Cheryl (Earl) Schamerhorn and Margie (Kenny) Smith; two grandchildren, Amanda and Joey Schamerhorn; brother-in-law, John Swanson; step-brother, Billy and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Doris Swanson.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Marvin.

Dear Judy: I was searching for my best friend's brothers obituary,
and saw Marvin's, and want to send mine & Bob's condolences. I know
he has gone through a lot, and so have you. You will be in our
thoughts and prayers in the coming days. Take care of yourself as
I'm sure you've earned that over these last months. Boy! PMECI has
lot two of their "mainstays" lately. Was also sorry to hear of
Sandy Sanderson's passing. Again..we'll be thinking of you.
