Jeanie Tomlinson

Jeanie Tomlinson, 79, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Taylor House in Des Moines. She was born January 12, 1931 to Sara and Archie Howard in Des Moines.

Jeanie was a 1948 graduate of Ankeny High School. She had a successful career as a realtor in the Ankeny area until her retirement at the age of 70. Jeanie loved talking on the phone and going to Prairie Meadows. She had a deep value for family.

Jeanie is survived by her loving husband, Fred; son, Larry (Kathy) Miller; daughters, Sherri (Pat) Harding, Julie Miller; step-children, Susan (Dennis) Albaugh, Brian (Mitzie) Tomlinson, Rick Tomlinson; grandchildren, Todd (Jonnell) Miller, Nathan (Denise) Miller, Jason Welder, Jacob Hamilton, Molly (Marshall) Carruthers; step-grandchildren, Tara (Matt) Meredith, Tiffany (Jason) Loutsch, Wendie (Jay) Fagen, Ryan (Hayley) Tomlinson, Meghan Tomlinson, Rikki Sue Tomlinson, Tawnie Tomlinson, and Crystal Tomlinson; sisters, Mary Doubleday and Maxine Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Howard; sister, Gladys Anderson; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery near Alleman. Friends may visit with family from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 26 at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Taylor Hospice House in loving memory of Jeanie.
