Debra Kay Prince, 56, passed away August 23, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice.
Debra was born August 18, 1954 in Des Moines to Donald and Virginia (Moniz) Brown. She was a lifelong Des Moines resident. Debra was a Claims Supervisor for Independent Health Alliance. She was an avid quilter.
Debra is survived by her daughter, Jenniffer (Tony Mumford) Soloman; step-sons, Scott (Nikki), Daniel and Mike (Deb) Prince; brothers, Doug (Jackie) and Denny (Brenda) Brown and Russ (Jean) Twellmeyer; and 14 grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, HollyAnn, Matthew, Jerilyn, Mackenzie, Jacob, Justin, Jake, Shyanne, Sabrina, Serenity, Jasmine and Kianna. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed Hamilton’s Funeral Home on behalf of the family.

Dear Doug and Denny,
I am so sorry to hear of the lose of your sister. There are no words that can
relieve the pain in your hearts. Although I did not know her well, I do remember her from years past, and remember what a sweet young girl she was.

hey nana... yellin at papa to get you a pop yet? lol. i miss you a lot... i hardley ever let go of taht pillow amanda got you for your birthday. i miss you a lot. its hard to let go of someone you just got back. i try not to cry and i try to remember all the good times we had.... my favorite was on your birthday. i loved seeing your fae light up . i miss you a lot. i keep wishing that your jsut sleeping. but i guess things dont always go that way. i miss you a lot. i love ou nana. tell papa and tippy i say hi.

I didn't know much about you Grandma Prince, but i did know that if there was one cupcake to feed 40 people in one house then you were the smart one to know that the one little cupcake could go a long way if you just let it grow and then you would split that one cupcake into 40 peices to feed everyone i love and will miss you Grandma Prince. Your'e happy now!

Our sympathy and prayers are with you. Debbie and I were friends at Kurtz we seemed unseperateble until High school, we seemed to loose each other
