Lien Ha

Lien Thi Ha passed away August 20, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born October 25, 1956 in Vientiane, Laos. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was a beloved wife and caretaker for her elderly mother. Her favorite pastime was being with her family and friends but mostly loved to dote on her three young, energetic grandsons.

Lien is survived by her husband, Sac Ha Van; sons, Sone Ha Van and Bird Ha Van of Des Moines; daughters, Xay Jackson Thi and Laurie Ha Thi of Des Moines; her mother, Mrs. Tien Lothi of Des Moines; brothers, Som Thong Van and Vahn Thong Van of Des Moines and Louan Thong Van of France; sisters, Dong Lovan and Paige Thong Thi of Des Moines, and Lien Tong Baccam of Hawaii. Grandchildren, Kailen Van Ha, Kason Van Ha, and Aiden Christopher Jackson. She was preceded in death by her father, Deua Thong Van.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NE 60th Avenue.
