David King Flores, 32, was born February 14, 1978 in Des Moines, the son of Roger and Debra (Gretillat) Flores. He passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Polk City Nursing and Rehab.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his brother, Chris Flores of Redfield, Iowa; sister, Donna (Rob) Rogers of Potwin, Kansas; grandfather, Alex Flores of Wichita, Kansas; step-grandmother, Karen Gretillat of Creston, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Betty Gretillat and Juanita Flores, and his grandfather, Ray Gretillat.
The family will greet friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Davey, may the Gods and Goddess bless your soul and protect you and yours always.
I knew David well and loved him as my brother. His daughter, which was not mentioned in his obituary, Nevaeh, my god daughter, will not know the Davey I knew. I hope that one day I can tell her of her father.

Hi I know that you don't know me but I knew your son. I jsut wanted to say that I'm truely sorry for your lost and I will be praying for you. I know that your son is looking down on all of us with love in his heart and tears in his eyes. David was and still is a great man. I wish I could have been there but I'm in Omaha, NE so the best i can do is sent my condolences!!

Debbie, thinking of you at this trying time. Parents should **NEVER** out live their parents. David will always be in your heart and the wonderful memories you have of him will carry you through this difficult time.
