William Curtis

William Ray Curtis, 49, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at First Christian Church, 2500 University Avenue. Burial with military honors will be held at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church from 9 to 10:45 am prior to the service.

Bill was born December 14, 1960 in Des Moines. He served proudly in the US Army. Bill was a realtor with Iowa Realty. He was an avid Hawkeye fan. Bill enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He loved being with his family.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Courtney Rae Curtis; his step-children, Andy Hildreth, Heather Fisher, Derek Corbin and Matt Corbin; eight grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Janise and Loyd Morlan; his siblings, Nancy Versteeg, JoAnn Beougher, Terri Avery, Tom Curtis and Richard Curtis; his step-siblings, Tim Morlan, Mike Morlan, Shelly Fausett and Kevin Morlan; his ex spouse, Debra McGhee; his ex-mother- and father-in-law, LaRae and Ted Gruening.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
