Marlene Rife

Marlene M. Rife, 56, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2010. A visitation service will be held at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Marlene was born August 27, 1953 to Marion and Loretta Rife in Des Moines. She graduated from North High School and earned her BA from Drake University. Marlene worked with computers with the US Government in Washington DC before medical retirement when she returned home to Des Moines.

Marlene is survived by her brothers, Marion (Cynthia) Rife Jr., Michael Rife, Nate Rife, Mark Parkey, and Mondale Rife; sisters, Denise Aaron, Mariam Rife, and Vanna Moore; Sabu Long; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Loretta Rife; amd sisters, Anita Rife Anderson and Trina Rife.

Memorial contributions will be received by the family.
