Janice "Jean" Craig

Janice “Jean” Craig was born March 21, 1939 in Harrison City, MO, to Floyd and Vivian DeGraw. She died July, 27, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

She attended Heritage Assembly of God Church and was very involved in activities there. Janice enjoyed playing the organ at church, singing, listening to music, and collecting angels.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; and two infant brothers. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edgar; brother, Jim (Cindy) DeGraw; children, LuAnn (Paul) Jones, JoAnn (Jim) Hitchcock, Edgar Jr. (Kim) Craig, DiAnn (Sonny) Fees, and Angela (Mike) McGonigle; twelve grandchildren, Alisha (DJ) Merrill, Tiffany (Nick) Hall, Adrienne (Kevin) Adams, Ryan Jones, Amy Palmer, Cody Hitchcock, Sarah Hitchcock, Maria (Tyler) Howe, Brian Fees, Brent (Tracey) Fees, Scott (Sarah) Fees, and Nick (Chelsey) McGonigle; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several other relatives and many special friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 30, 2010 at Heritage Assembly of God Church, 5051 NE 5th Street, Des Moines, with burial at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the church.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Jean.
