David Hayden Scott, 57, passed away at his home in Iowa City July 24, 2010.
David was born August 5, 1952 in North Carolina to Cleo and Mae Scott. He served in the U.S. Army and worked over 20 years for the University of Iowa Hospitals. David enjoyed genealogy.
David is survived by his siblings, Linda (Wayne) Adamson, Michael (Wendy) Scott, Bob (Kathi) Scott and Angela (Larry) Willis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

Howard and I would like to express our sincere condolences in your loss. I worked in the Department of Surgery when David was employed there. David's sense of humor and intellect always fascinated me. We also enjoyed visiting with him at annual get-togethers with other retired employees. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Michael, Angie, Linda and Bob,
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of sorrow. We are very, very sad...Dave was like family; we worked together at the Dept. of Surgery for many, many years...until I retired.
