Mable Chapman

Mable Chapman, 89, passed away July 25, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh House.

Mable was born October 1, 1920 in Ottumwa, IA to Lee Roy and Eva Pownell. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking and gardening, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Mable is survived by her daughters, Carol (Bob) Mable, Sharon (Dick) Johannesen and Linda (Tom) Garrett; son, Charles (Cheryl) Chapman; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
