Dennis Johnson, 48, passed away at his home July 25, 2010. No services are planned at this time.
Dennis was born November 21, 1961 in Gary, Indiana to Richard and Polly (Fenner) Johnson. He enjoyed fishing, jogging, biking and weight lifting. He loved spending time with his family, had a great sense of humor and zest for life.
Dennis is survived by his children, Jessie Johnson, Shawna Johnson and Bradley Johnson; mother, Polly Johnson; sisters, Paula Fenner and Sheryl Reaves; brothers, Steven Johnson, Richard Johnson and Gary Johnson; nieces, Sylvia Johnson, Jennifer Peters, Christina Reaves, Jessie Thompson and Gabrielle Slocum; and nephew, Steven Johnson, Jr. He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Johnson and father Richard Johnson.

My condolences go out to my mom ,brothers and sisters,Dennis's children. He was much loved and will be missed . It was hard to know what to do for Dennis ,though I wish ofcroase that I had done more ,spent more time . He lived his life as best he could .With or with out illness thats all any of us can do , with as much dignity as we can .Love you Dennis. You always helped when you could and even when when you really could not. I remember playing out side in the winter,in my fluffy red coat. You teased me about how cute I looked in it,big red puffy coat. You will be missed , but never forgotten. I feel bad I was not their for you more. My condolences go out to my family.
We love one another, so dearly. As children growing up we were all much closer; lives change and we get so busy and wrapped up in our little worlds we don't always have the time to be there for each other as in our hearts we would want to. This understood by all of us. None the less eases out sorrow for the sudden loss of a son, our brother.
My fondest memories of Dennis. When he was a little boy, he had poured chocolate milk into his cereal, in his pajamas and feeling quite spirited he went outside down the porch (cereal as well) I followed. He sat on the sidewalk before the porch, positioned himself as if driving a motorcycle (cereal between legs) and was moving his hands as if reving his motorcycle engine saying vroom, vroom. He always had imagination and a sharp mind. He was very intelligent and had common sense. Dennis had a sweetness about him, that always shined. He loved life and made the best of everything even in the hardest times of his life. He never wanted our pitty, just our respect as he respected everyone of us. Dennis thank you for the long walks late at night, for the conversation's, the laughs, your wisdom and your brotherly love. I as all of us will miss you dearly. For me you will always be in my heart and mind and forever by myside as I continue my journey. Till I see you again brother. My love always. Paula
