Service Details

Warren Lee Grandia, 80, went home to rejoin his mother and father and meet his Heavenly Father on March 9, 2007. A celebration of life service will be held at Union Park United Methodist Church, E 12th and Guthrie on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Monday, March 12th from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In his last days he was lovingly taken care of by Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. He was blessed to have all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren around him, and especially his loving wife Margaret of 58 years.
Warren was born in Des Moines in 1926 to Ruth and Elmer Grandia. Warren proudly served in the Marines in World War II and Korea, receiving the Purple Heart. He was married in 1949 to Margaret Brown, worked at Bankers Trust, and from 1952-1983; owned his own business.
Retirement was spent traveling; especially to his cabin in Minnesota helping his daughters open their own businesses, visiting friends and relatives and playing with his grandkids and great grandkids. His wisdom, guidance, and compassion will be missed by his loving wife, Margaret; daughter, Sheila (Gary) Reeves, and their children Gina (Allen) Robinson, children Nico and Noah, Angela (Ryan) Carman, children Josie and Cole, and Mike (Amy) Reeves, children Jacob, Justin and Sophia; daughter, Liz Fox and her children Jessica Fox, son Elijah, and Ryan Fox, children Michael Warren and Gracie Fox, and their mother, Ashley; daughter, Dana (David) Clement and their children Casey (Heather) Clement, children Natalie and Nathan, and Carley Clement (Mike Bishop) and their daughter, Lily; daughter, Suzanne (Allen) Kennedy and their children Samantha and Mariah.
