Betty Septer

The world is a lot less bright today with the passing of the World’s Greatest Mother. Betty Louise Nau Septer was the pillar of her family and a wonderful friend to all those who knew and loved her.

Betty was born April 12, 1924, in Tippecanoe, Iowa to Lavina Othel Beaber and Albert Roy Nau. She passed away July 21, 2010, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Harold (Shorty) Wesley Septer; three brothers, Albert (Doc), Merton and Deane Nau and one sister Evelyn Nau.

Left to cherish her memory are her eight children; Evelyn Dolly McDonald, David (Colleen) Boyd, Michael (Enid) Septer, Harold Deane Septer, Rick (Barb) Septer, Richard Septer, Rhonda (Chuck) Wibe and Lori (Kelly) Septer; three sisters; Juanita
Giholson, Joan Vasquez and Debbie (Ray) Cooksey; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, July 25, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at the Pleasant Point Cemetery, near Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Central Iowa.
