Floyd D. McAninch

Floyd D. McAninch, 86, passed away July 20, 2010 at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll, IA.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Floyd was born April 22, 1924 in Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Floyd retired from the Ford Implement Plant in Romeo, Michigan in 1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Clona McAninch; brothers, Harold and Glen; twin brother, Lloyd; and his sisters Elsie Quinn and Edith Knox. Floyd is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Brad (Becky), Dave and Brian (Tina); daughter, Kelly (Brent) Alexander; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends.
