Karen Moen

Karen Elaine (Pederson) Moen, 70, of Yuma, AZ, formerly of Des Moines passed away on June 26, 2010 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Those left to cherish her memory: husband, Jim of Yuma; sons, Todd (Heidi) Moen (Des Moines) and Jeff Moen (Waukee); seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Audrey Harris (Des Moines), Rosalind (Dan) Collins (Long Grove); brothers, John Pederson (Des Moines) and Richard (Joan) Pederson (Fort Dodge); in-laws, Janet (Conley) Daniels (Des Moines), and very special friend, Sandy Lowe (Des Moines). Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruth Pederson; brothers, Douglas and Peter; sister, Ruth Bakken; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Moen.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family for future designation to Karen’s favorite charities.
