Richard Geissinger

Richard K. Geissinger, 87, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at Luther Park Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church, 4601 Douglas Avenue. A private family burial will be held prior to the service at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Richard was born June 23, 1919 in Inver Grove, MN to Sidney and Lulu Geissinger. He worked as a production manager at Frye Copy Systems Carbon Paper for 17 years. Richard was a member of the Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Club 75 Dance Club.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Geissinger of Des Moines; son, Scott (Janet) Geissinger of Vinton; daughter, Linda (Jerry) Peel of Norwalk; daughter-in-law, Barb Geissinger; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and son, Dennis Geissinger.
Memorial contributions may be given to Iowa Health Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
