Pedro Garcia, 61 died at his home in Des Moines, IA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with cremation to follow.
Pedro was born August 29, 1948 in Brownsville, TX to Elvira Cruz and Pedro Garcia. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to help anyone with anything. He was often too proud to ask for help for himself. He is very loved and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Pedro was preceded in death by: his parents, Pedro Garcia and Elvira Cruz; his son, Pablo Garcia; his daughter, Nikki Lynn Garcia; and his brother, Antonio Garcia. He is survived by: brothers and sisters: Juanita, Hector, Enrique, Adolfo, and Esmeralda; his children: Pedro Jr., Miguel, Maria, Johnny, Marty and Joeseph; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Pedro.

It's been 10 yrs dad since u were called to go home to b with the lord n our loved ones up in heaven..o how i miss ur calls daddy..plz come n visit me on my dreams n tell me everything is going to b k..keep watching over us...o n give my bro n sis a hug from me...missing u dad til we meet again

Dad it's been 8yrs n it still seems like a dream n i still reach for the fone to dial ur number or just wait to hear ur voice on the other end.."wat r u doing mija" were always ur first words..i miss u so much daddy..save a space for me n give my bro n baby sis a hug from me...p.s. Keep watching over us..gone but not forgotten...

I will never forget you papa!!!! I love you and always have!!!! You have showed me love and kindness through the past. You have taught me so many things and they are great memories in my heart!!!! The family misses you dearly, and we all know you knew we loved you!!!! You were a great papa and I have missed you this whole time!!!! I will love it when I can see you again up there in heaven!!!!
