William Cole

William “Billy” Cole, 70, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Kavanagh on 56th. Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 12th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with cremation following services. A visitation will be held Monday from 11A.M. until service time.
Billy was born to William and Grace Cole on October 26, 1936 in Shorttrack, New York. He was a radio broadcaster for WHO, KSO, WSM and KMGO. Billy was heavily involved in Country Radio and an expert in Country Music. He announced the Knoxville sprint car races, I-Cubs Baseball and the Iowa State Fair. He also loved to gamble and host bus tours.
Billy is survived by his wife Lorraine; his sons, Kevin (Kim) Cole, Terry (Shamin) Ritter, Billy (Susan) Cole, Danny Cole; his daughter, Linda (Carl) Spurlock; his grandchildren, Jake Spurlock, Amber Joss, Michelle Ritter, Connor Cole, Chase Cole; his great grandchildren A.J. and Dillon Joss and many brothers, sisters and extended family.
