William "Bill" Evans, Sr.

William “Bill” Evans, Sr. passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2010 while visiting in Des Moines.

Bill was born January 12, 1930 in Des Moines to William and Nellie (Keyes) Evans. He graduated from East High School in 1948 where he lettered in football, baseball and basketball. Bill was a supervisor for Wonder Bakery and Pan of Gold before moving to Kansas City in 1966 where he was a supervisor for Flavor Kist. The family moved from Kansas City to Michigan in 1970.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Shirley (Taylor) Evans; children, William John (Betty) Evans, Jr., Leslie Evans, Pamela (Jim) Barnes and Todd Michael Evans; and many other extended relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held in Michigan at a later date.
