Christina Dingman

Christina Dingman, 53, passed away July 13, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Chris was born December 5, 1956 in Des Moines to Richard and Delores (Wright) Dingman. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. She worked as a bartender at various places. Chris loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her cats. She also enjoyed nature and fishing. Chris was a “pool shark” and competed in a pool tournament in Las Vegas with her companion, Deb.

Upon her death Chris become a tissue, bone and organ donor; so her legacy could live on through helping others.

Chris is survived by her children, Heather (Ben) McDannel and Tyler Smith; mother, Delores Dingman; grandchildren, Connor, Benjamin and Krystalynn; companion, Deb Hood; and her siblings, Suzanne Belcher, Steve Dingman, Tami Dingman, Mike Dingman and Michelle McCullough. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Dingman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
