Vivian L. Bingaman, 95, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society Fairlawn Village in Gresham, OR. She will be buried at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Sonja, and her husband Lowell, Kester of Portland, OR and Karen Wagner of Happy Valley, OR; grandchildren, Gary Elings and Janet and Jennifer Wagner; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Bingaman, and granddaughter, Shirley Elings.

Dear Sonja: We were sorry to see the obituary of Vivian in the paper. You know that you have always been a good daughter, and that should be a great consolation to you. We have good memories of your mother always helping others and hearing Jack's parents tell about the wonderful times they had with your parents. Dear Sonja and Karen,
I just learned of your mother's death and started to think about all the fun times your parents and my parents had together. I remember the card games and vacations in particular.
I know you will treasure the memories of your mother. Things will happen and words will be spoken that will bring those fond memories to the surface. They will become special times that will actually let you know that she is there in your heart.

Thinking of both of you, Sonja and Karen. I know it is very emotional when a parent departs. It is so hard to let go, but yet we have to be thankful their suffering has ended. Our memories become even more precious.
