Kevin James Howard, 53, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on December 25, 1956 in Crescent City, Illinois to Perry and Genevieve Howard.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan; son, Matthew James Howard; special sister-in-law, Dea Howard; special niece, Dawn Edwards (Brent); grandchildren, Laura, Linzee, Jamie, Kaylee, Natalee, Kevin, James, and Genevieve; sister, Jan Wilkens (Donald); as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, James; daughter, Tanya; his parents; and three brothers, Frank, Mike, and Delbert.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona.

Kevin, oh how hard it is to not only hear of your passing, but of Jimmy's and Tanya's too. You all are missed by me that words cannot explain. I have so many fond memories to get by. You are now in a much better place with your two children who were waiting for you to come home. Sue and Matthew will be taken care of by many people,including me. Love~Tracy
