Lila Mick

Lila Mick, 53, died unexpectedly Monday, July 5, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born on March 21, 1957 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Sharon and Robert Liesener.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her passion was cooking and baking.

Lila is survived by her husband, David Mick; children, Tim (Misty) Cooper and Becky (Jason Aguirre) Cooper; grandchildren, Dallas, Landon, Leah and Caleb; step-children, Jeremy and Tiffany Mick; three step-grandchildren; father, Robert “Bob” Liesener; step-father, Mike Freeman; brothers, Bob (Carla), Vern (Katie), Dale (Kim), Jeff (Christy); sisters, Lori (Ray), Donna (Greg) and Tammy (Rick); aunt, sue (Jim) Parrish; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother-in-law, Bill Mick.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with family from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston or to United Way in loving memory of Lila.
