Eh Htoo

Eh Htoo, 49, died and went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Monday morning, June 28, 2010. Eh was born in the village of Mae Ta Guang in Myanmar (Burma). He fled his war-torn country and lived in the Mae La Refugee Camp in Thailand. He and his family came to Des Moines in 2007. He was employed by Tyson Foods in Marshalltown.

Eh is survived by his loving wife, Tin Htoo; seven daughters, ages 22 years to 8 years: Taw Maw Paw, Mu Lay, Wah Set Paw, Th’lay So, July Paw, May Joy and Victoria Htoo (youngest at 8 years); and one son, SiSi Po (age 11).

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Olivet Baptist Church, 2743 82nd Avenue in Urbandale, Iowa, with Pastor Ner Clay and Pastor Steve Clinkscales officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Olivet Baptist Church in loving memory of Eh. Hamilton’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
